Shanghai is a cultural city with long and glorious history. By the end of 2006, there are 19 State level key cultural relic preservation organs and 165 municipal level cultural relic preservation organs. Up to now, Shanghai has retained many historical sites and the rich characteristic botanic garden from Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing Dynasty. Shanghai has more than 1,000-year-history Long Hua Temple, Jing'an Temple constructed in Three Kingdom Times, Yufo (Jade Buddhist) Temple well-known home and abroad, Yu Garden famous with South China garden style, Confucius Temple in Jiading District, Square Tower and Zui Bai Chi Pool in Songjiang District. Since 1990s, Shanghai completed a group of functional constructions that enjoy a good reputation, which form the enchanting city landscape line, meanwhile become the new traveling sites which displays people a new outlook of Shanghai, Bund can symbolize the image of Shanghai; People's Square named as "City Green Lung"; Oriental Pearl TV Tower creates ten "World Record"; Jin Mao Tower, the tallest building in China; Nanjing Road Walking Street, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai Municipal Planning Exhibition Hall.
